Steve Adams

Flemington Foreman

Steve has been an integral member of Freedman Racing for over fifteen years. He started with the Freedman family on the Mornington Peninsula at their private property of Markdel, where he eventually became the Head Foreman. When Freedman Racing returned to Flemington in 2013 Steve moved to Melbourne to oversee the Flemington operation where he has remained responsible for the day to day running of the Flemington stable.

During his tenure with Freedman Racing he has been involved in the careers of many of stable stars including Alinghi, Makybe Diva, Mummify, Miss Andretti, Mawingo and Exospheric. Steve is a quality horseman and Freedman Racing are privileged to have someone with both his skill and loyalty as a team member.

Steve is married to Lorrae and the couple have two daughters Lucy and Amber.

Sam Freedman

Pinecliff Foreman

Sam is Anthony’s son and the foreman at our Pinecliff stable. Sam has grown up around the stable and has a strong passion for the horse racing industry. After completing his secondary and tertiary education, Sam travelled to England to play cricket. During his time overseas, Sam spent two years working for leading European trainer Roger Varian as his pupil assistant. At Varians, Sam was fortunate enough to work closely with leading international galloper Postponed as well as other Group 1 winners Belardo, Ajman Princess, Sheikha Reika and Ajman Princess.

Sam returned to Australia in October 2017 to re-join his father’s stable bringing with a wealth of knowledge from his time overseas and an eagerness to continue building on what he has learnt. Sam brings fresh ideas to the business as well as enthusiasm to build on the success of the stable.

Brad Taylor

Racing Manager

Brad joined us from New Zealand as our Racing Manager in April 2017. Brad graduated from Otago University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Educational Studies and Post Graduate diploma in Teaching Studies. During his time at University Brad spent time working for the local Racing Club and various Racing Stables. After two years teaching his love of racing lead him to a full-time job with the New Zealand Racing Board and following that as a Racing Manager for New Zealand's leading syndicator David Ellis and Te Akau Racing. Freedman Racing is dedicated to improving it's service to their owners and Brad's role is to keep owners informed through all aspects of media and communications.
