Champions of the Turf

Bred By: The Oaks Stud, NZ
History: Purchased by Anthony Freedman from the 2010 NZB Sales for NZD$240,000. This colt is by Darci Brahma, the last son of Danehill to retire to stud, Darci Brahma could also be on the best credentialed. The winner of 5 individual Group 1’s and placed in a VRC Australian Guineas which contributed to a race record that read as 10 wins from 19 starts and just shy of the $1 million in prizemoney, Darci Brahma proved that from 1200m through to 1600m he was a deserved champion of his era. Although beaten by Apache Cat in the Australian Guineas and by Seachange on two further occaisions, he proved he could run within a nose to a future Champions and he sealed his future as one of the best sons of Danehill ever.
