THE STABLES

FLEMINGTON

Anthony Freedman, following the closure of Markdel, moved to Flemington in 2013. The world-class facilities of Flemington offer a familiar environment for the Freedmans, who first trained at the famous racetrack from 1984 until 1996. Returning to their Flemington headquarters, the brothers' note the benefits of training at the home of Melbourne's Spring Racing Carnival where their horses will have the home ground advantage. Lee Freedman will be in charge of the Flemington stable which can accommodate 30 horses.

PINECLIFF

Pinecliff is the brainchild of prominent owner-breeder Jonathan Munz. He has built a state-of-the-art training centre at Mt Eliza. Anthony Freedman will be in charge of the Pinecliff stables which can house 25-30 horses. Pinecliff offers outstanding training tracks - turf and all-weather - and the ability to train horses out of paddocks.

MERRICKS

This 50-acre property was purchased 15 years ago with the sole purpose of spelling the Freedman horses. Merricks has since attracted countless city dwellers due to its beautiful landscape and surrounding beaches. This experience has undoubtedly contributed to their metropolitan success in the 2000s and continues to offer an unrivalled haven for horses in need of a spell.

The Freedmans believe in a healthy balance between work and leisure for their horses and Merricks has provided the latter for some of the Freedmans greatest racehorses.
