The most expensive daughter of Rock of Gibraltar sold in 2008 ($400,000), continued to make inroads into her pricetag with another dominant win at Sandown on the 21st May. Caught a little wide early, her 2 kilo claiming apprentice quickly made amends for his faux pas with a confident and strong drive for the finish.
Stopping the clock in a slick time of 56.82 sec, Lee Freedman went on to say "She is ready to be stepped up to Saturday class now and I am pleased that I used the 2 kilo claim as it has ultimately been the difference between 1st and 2nd, with the winning margin only 1/2 length."
Gibralter Moon's win tightened the Freedman's stranglehold on the Victorian Trainers Premiership. Lee currently leads the Metroplitan Trainer's Premiership by 7 wins from David Hayes with 62 winners and is a dominant leader of the overall Victorian Trainers premiership with 143 wins.
