Double Reward (pictured at home) broke through on his third start, but first up since a spell to win against older company in a striking fashion and in track record time.
Jumping from barrier 6 under Michael Rodd, Double Reward led from pillar to post and never looked like being headed. Holding the 2 length advantage with ease and under a hold, Michael Rodd and the son of Lucky Owners clocked 57.8 seconds for the 1000m to win in a track record time at Geelong.
"He'll go on from here" Said Rodd post race.
Double Reward's win continued a rich vein form for the stable following wins from Vankedisi, Ocean Journey, Choisism and Hi On Love since the beginning of July.......and thats from only 7 runners !
