Slade Bloodstock's Reconcentrate (pictured) secured a winning double for Lee at Sandown on Wednesday, but the win was in fact a City winning treble for the Freedman Camp as Coolmore Stud's Impersonator won comfortably last Friday night!
Lee has plenty of time for his honest filly Reconcentrate and his opinion of her was only heightened after she led all the way to take out the fillies (72) BUT Beautiful Handicap over 1400 metres at Sandown on Wednesday.
"She’s just such a trier," Freedman said after the race."She just wants to stay in front all the time, she jumps well and wants to be in front and she’s very hard to get past."
Reconcentrate's rivals found her impossible to pass with the daughter of Reset making the most of controlling the race to record a half-neck win from the Peter Snowden-trained Dreamy.Dreamy had every possible hope of winning the race after being given a copybook ride by Vlad Duric but she found the winner too strong despite looming up to the leader menacingly with 300 metres to run.
Slade's Bloodstock timing in selling shares in their 2 year old by Reset is perfection;
"Its ironic" said Rob Slade post race "I have only just put the Reset colt out of Desert Dream on to the market and Lee has just gone bang - bang - bang with the stallion!
