German star joins Freedman stable

4th January, 2015

Story by Ben Asgari,

German star Ivanhowe has joined the Lee and Anthony Freedman stable.

The five-year-old son of Soldier Hollow has won five of his 10 starts, including two Group 1 victories over 2400m.

Notably, he defeated 11-length German Derby champion Sea The Moon by three lengths in September.

The entire was last seen finishing sixth behind Epiphaneia in the Group 1 Japan Cup (2400m) in November.

Ivanhowe was trained by Jean-Pierre Carvalho and has joined the Freedmans after he was purchased for an undisclosed amount by a syndicate of owners including long-time stable clients John O'Neill and Rupert Leigh.
