Comic Ruler provided Dream Thoroughbreds with its first winner when he scored a tough debut win at Ballarat today.
Comic Ruler, a typical late-maturing son of Commands, showed great tenacity under a good ride from Daniel Moor. "The blinkers did the trick," Moor said after the win.
Dream Thoroughbreds, founded by high school mates Arthur Antonellos, David Azzopardi and Tony Dimitriadis, is Freedman Racing's preferred syndicator.
Comic Ruler, like most of the Commands breed, looks like an horse who will continue to improve.
"It was a nice win, he did the work on the pace and kept giving to the line. He's very green and should keep improving," trainer Anthony Freedman said.
