Starcraft, amongst other notable feats, is also the sire of a Freedman 2yo called AIN'TNOFALLENSTAR the smart winner of the 2yo 1200m in Adelaide this Saturday.
In her second career start, Ain'tnofallenstar jumped cleanly to land on the pace and on the rail under Chris Symons. Settling kindly, she had the Mick Price trained Crawfish niggling her throughout the first 1/2 mile and the bay daughter of Starcraft did well to quicken away from her male rival at the top of the straight. knuckling down to a proper, head bobbing finish, Chris Symons lifted the Freedman galloper to win in the smart time of 1min 10:94sec.
"Peter Carrick (the owner of Crawfish) told me his horse would be hard to beat" Said Lee Freedman "So this win adds further merit to the performance as she was probably looking for 1400m after her first start at the Valley."
"She has made significant improvement this prep and in all honesty her win today is a bonus for the owners as she is bred to be slow maturing 3yo."
A champion racehorse in two hemispheres, Starcraft has made a bold entry to his stud career. Winning the Blue Diamond with Star Witness was a proof that this Champion Miler would go the distance as a stallion.
Throw into consideration that Ain'tnofallenstar is out of Ain't Seen Nothin; placed in an Underwood Stakes and ran 4th in a Mackinnon, then the win of this filly as a 2yo is purely a reflection of its raw ability. She is from the family of Polar Success, Circles of Gold dam of Elvstroem & Haradasun and providing Freedman continues his "magic" this filly would be a very valuable commidity if she could win a Stakes race.
Congratulations to Scott Springott, Johnny O'Neil, Jono Deague, the Latimars, Roger Gamble, Richard Nettleford, Chris King and North West Racing.
