Lot 146, bay filly by Sizzling from La Camille (by Peintre Celebre)

Purchase price: $65,000

Comment: A well-grown, athletic filly with a terrific free-flowing walk. This filly is by first-season sire Sizzling, one of Snitzel's best sons, from a mare who is closely related to two outstanding Group-winning 2YOs - Katima (Silver Slipper Stakes) and Deferential (Pago Pago Stakes). The filly's dam, La Camille, was a 1000-metre winner and she already is the dam of four winners, including the multiple Group-placed Goldstone. We believe this filly is outstanding buying at $65,000.

This filly is available for her sale price plus general costs, including insurance and float etc.

Lot 152: bay colt, by Zoustar from Lady La Douce (by Foreplay)

Comment: This exceptional colt is from the outstanding first crop of former star sprinter Zoustar, and he's very much in the image of his sire - a strongly built, athletic colt with good bone and great presence. He's a colt perfectly bred and shaped to be running at two and therefore a contender for the Magic Millions 2YO Classic next year.

Lot 444: chestnut colt, by Sizzling from She's Warrego (by Giant's Causeway)

**Comment: **We were very impressed by the first crop of former G1-winning 2YO Sizzling, a son of star stallion Snitzel, and believe this colt was one of his best youngsters in the sale. He's an quality, well-made colt with an athletic walk. He comes from a deep international family and his dam has already produced the smart Stakes-placed filly Queen Of Wands.

Lot 250: bay colt, by Tavistock from Lamington Vegas (by Elusive City)

Comment: By New Zealand's hot sire, Tavistock, the heir apparent to Zabeel. This well-made colt's dam is a Stakes winner over 1200m and her sister also was a brilliant 2YO Stakes winner. This is a pedigree with a blend of the best NZ. Australian and US bloodlines. He was a bargain at $NZ50,000.

Lot 335: bay filly, by Zoustar from Petty Cury (by Not A Single Doubt)

Comment: This filly's pedigree and type is what you'd expect to see at the Magic Millions - she's by star colt Zoustar from a Not A Single Doubt mare. She was outstanding buying at the New Zealand Karaka Sale. The filly is bred to run early and a likely type for next year's Karaka Millions. Her dam was a Group 3 winner as was her granddam - her third dam, Conifer Bay, was a brilliant G1 winner in New Zealand. This filly colt $NZ190,000 and would have bought a lot more at the Gold Coast.

Lot 60, bay colt, by Dundeel (NZ) from No Mistaking (by Testa Rossa)

Comment: An extremely well-made colt with a pedigree that has a blend of speed and stamina. His sire Dundeel was a champion from 1600m to 2400m, and his dam, No Mistaking, won twice at 1400m and 1600m. The colt is closely related to Italian Derby winner Don Orazio and champion New Zealand miler Al Akbar, who is best known as the sire of the dam of the great Winx. At only $65,000, we believe this colt was outstanding buying. Breeding buffs will like this pedigree as he has a double cross of the great sire Sadler's Wells (grandsire of Dundeel) and also includes his half-brother Perugino, the sire of Testa Rossa.

Lot 499, bay colt, by Epaulette from Fusaichi Queen (by Fusaichi Pegasus)

Comment: A strongly built colt by the impressive first-season sire Epaulette, a Group 1-winning son of Commands. This colt is from a half-sister to Oakleigh Plate winner Miss Kournikova. Anthony Freedman said the Epaulette yearlings have been most impressive and he was keen to get one of them. This colt fitted the bill at the right price, $75,000. This colt is a mature, well-balanced individual who should run early.

Lot 95, bay colt, by All Too Hard from Night War (by General Nediym)

Comment: If you are looking for a 2YO runner with a stallion's pedigree, then this is the colt for you. His sire All Too Hard was a champion, and a half-brother to Black Caviar, while his dam, Night War, was WA's champion 2YO of her time - she won the Karrakatta Plate at Ascot - and she is a half-sister to the G1 Blue Diamond Stakes winner Samaready. This colt is neat, precocious and has a very good action. "I just love this colt," said Lee Freedman, "and he's a bargain at $140,000 with a pedigree like that. Importantly, he comes of a famous farm, Vinery, which has a 100-year history in breeding champions."
