There are numerous employment opportunities with Freedman Racing, from the highly specialised area of the track rider to the rewarding position of ground staff, who are required to attend to some of Australia's most valuable thoroughbreds.

Freedman Racing is always happy to take employment inquiries from experienced people in all areas of horse management.

The Mornington Peninsula is a wonderful environment for both work and living. Markdel is situated only minutes from the Peninsula hubs of Rosebud and Rye.

Stable Hands

Freedman Brothers, one of Australia's leading stables for many decades, has positions available for experienced stable hands. You will be responsible for caring for a number of horses at any one time including grooming, feeding, tidying horse boxes/yards and attending races.
Duties at the races include looking after the horse, ensuring it is safe, remains calm and also leading the horse around before and after it has raced.
Key attributes include reliability, efficiency and the ability to work well with others.
You will also be aware of OH&S requirements and processes. A Level III Stablehand Certificate is essential.
Excellent pay and working conditions apply. Basic accommodation may be available if required.

Spelling Manager

We have a full-time position available for a Spelling Manager at our St Ives property on the Mornington Peninsula - the position is 40-hours a week, full care of 20-30 horses and general maintenance on the property.
